View Full Version : Xpresso fusion blend parameter

Evenin' all. It's been a while since I posted anything on here. I hope everyone's happy and productive.

Anyway, I have a small problem. I'm trying to blend between two textures using Xpresso. I have a range mapper which outputs 0 to 100 (the input values are based on user data which is why I can't use an animation track to blend materials).

I also have the fusion channel from my material as a node in Xpresso. The output from the range mapper (RM) is supposed to control the blend parameter.

The problem is, the blend is always all or nothing. It jumps to 100 as soon as the RM output is anything other than 0. I can't find a way to get the actual output value from the RM into the blend parameter.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Bob

change your rangemapper to output 0-1. Since the blend parameter is a percentage, it's range is 0-1.

Of course! Thanks, kvb.

The worst thing is that I ought to have known that from having done the same thing with the position parameter of an align to spline tag.

All is now well and this thread can be closed.

Cheers,

Bob

No worries, I had the same problem just a few days ago... but still fired up c4d to do some tests when I saw your thread before I remembered it:D
