View Full Version : Unwanted objects from Maya to MB

I'm new to Motionbuilder but I'm trying to learn to use it for animation. I'm bring a Maya character in MB but I'm having a few issues.

For one I was wondering if anyone new of a tutorial they could point me towards for a good work flow for going to from Maya to motionbuilder.

Secondly and in particular right now I'm having a problem where parts of the character that I've changed or deleted or even references that I've deleted, are showing up in on the character when I import it into MB. I've deleted history, I don't get why they would show up.

Any help that anyone can offer is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Often times there are hidden mesh objects and shape nodes that show up when FBX exports the entire scene.

You can do export selected objects to FBX and that helps limit what gets sent to MotionBuilder.
