I don't know if you remember those great GI Joe models by Brian Parnell, but ever since then I felt like I should give it a try too. I don't know why it took me so long to consider starting a model myself, but recently I got nostalgic.

What better character to start with that Serpentor himself. Although the snake heads are still missing and the face is not the final one (I'm planning on modeling my face for him but right now I'm using a Solid Snake face I modeled long ago as a placeholder) I feel like the body is not entirely right. Maybe it's just me, but I would really appreciate some opinions, draw overs, whatever can help me polish this fine specimen.

Well, either the model is not worthy enough or it's perfect and I find it hard to believe it neither way. I'm putting the model on hold until I get some feedback anyway.

Well I think it looks good man. Seems this particular subforum does not get much in te way of traffic anymore. Low poly stuff just does not grab people's attention unfortunately.

If anything I would say this model could be done with less polys without losing the overal geometry. Actually I would think that you could probably drop the poly count by 30% and still have the same image.

Thanks for the honest answer. I was looking more for anatomy observations and stuff like that. I don't want to start the sculpt if I'm going to have to resize legs, hands or torso. But I guess it's good enough so I'm going to carry on and start the hi res sculpt. I'll do the clean up before I start unwrapping the uv maps.
