I have a question Ribin, how fast do you model these cars? You seem to have one helleva formula that works well.

looks great, can you post a Rhino wireframe screenshot,

One question, do you create your cars mostly with Sweep's or Network Surfaces?

WhiteBlaizer
09-22-2003, 03:40 PM
Ribin, your cars are stunning, very impressive, but i ask myself why this guy only do cars...?

Have you got any intention to model something different?? not a car or vehicle. Something more organic.

Cheers

It's composited perfectly. From that one angle it does kinda look like it's on the side of the hill. But the lighting is perfect. Bravo.

Hey great freakin modelling, lighting, and everthing really.
I shouldn't nit pik, but if i had to, something looks weird
around the tire area. (or maybe it's just me)

Seems like the aloy rims are either to small, too far away from the
actually rotors, or again maybe it's me...or perhaps its just the illusion the shadows are making that are being cast upon the rotors that is making the rims look too far out.

My 2c, but yeah only if i had to nitpic, brillian lighting and modelling. Keep em coming Mang!

my only comment is to do with your comping
the pictures have a pre multiplied black border around the
edges.
if u used maya try turning off composite flag in the render globals
or if u use fusion try turning off premultiply

in either case if u didnt render ure car on a black background in your 3d app then the car alpha wouldnt blend into black

but overall really, really nice work

Hi

Can you reveal your modeling method? I'm very interested to see how you do your car models.

This car is beautiful

I believe he builds a network of curves and used the Sweeps in conjunction with Network surfaces making sure they all match eachother through the Tangent options.

This would be with Rhino's NURBS.

I hope I got that right for ya ribin. I don't want to put words in your mouth but not sure if you English up to par to answer to many question.

:wavey:

love that car man, I got a Exotic almost done. just tweeking the materials.

well Pete81 there is always learning about the commands in the Help file.

but Jiro made this download of the files, he usused the same Technique.

there are a few files in progress.

I think I know pretty well rhino commands and tools but dont know how or what to use them  .

This is what I have lately done:

New Beetle (http://koti.mbnet.fi/ppentik/new_beetle.jpg)
New Beetle Wire (http://koti.mbnet.fi/ppentik/new_beetle_wire.jpg)

I just dont know how to proceed  .

Thanks for the link. I have to search car that is very easy to model and try that method to it.

very well done, modeled and textured, however, it does kind of separate from the background a little. it may be the shadows that need a little work.

First off I want to say bravo for this picture. My classmates and I took a close eye to your composition and we love it. It looks so realistic its crazy. You can only tell that it was created on pc due to some of the lighting in the rear lights and some of shimmer in the rims. Overall I don't know what more you could have done to make this more outstanding!
