Cleroth 07-05-2010, 03:05 PM I'll mainly be doing 30-second posemaniacs (http://www.posemaniacs.com/?pagename=thirtysecond) for now, as I need to get a good grip about human anatomy. I'll soon be posting 3D work in parallel with these exercises.
I'm trying to the outlines with clear strokes, without going over. As you can see I'm still a bit slow, there's some that get unfinished.

I'm curious as to why you are specifically focusing on outlines and not doing gestural drawings for these quickies. Are you working on your silhouettes?
It looks pretty good so far

Well to be honest I don't really know exactly what I am training. I just know I want to get better at drawing human anatomy, mainly for illustration purposes, sculpting, ... Also I heard it's good for creature design. I think I might give a go at Vilppu's training material.
Here's another one, I tried focusing more on gestural drawing and not so much silhouettes, I guess.

Yep...when you're starting out getting a grasp of the figure, you just gotta blast through them and keep practicing :) This recent post is an improvement: less silhouette and more info. As you get more practice you'll find that adding an (even very very simple) indication of lighting will help you read the forms better too. Keep filling up the sketchbook pages (and psds) at this rate and you'll see improvement in no time :)
