I'm not sure what the exact title is for this but Greiving Warrior seems appropriate. I will attempt to model it.
Start date was 7-4-10

Warrior body so far. It's about ready to start posing. Need to get the other elements modeled and arranged first so I can see how they fit together.

Just to update some progress. I've got the major elements posed and a little rough lighting set up. Still a lot of work to do yet.
I remember reading that Frazetta took a lot of liberties with how extreme he took his characters poses and I'm finding that is very true in this case.
It's also true of his lighting since it appears there are several main light sources and shadows occurring where they don't seem likely. It makes the artwork very dramatic. It will takes some interesting compromises to get this approximately like the artwork.
