I was going for the standard flamethrower model, but i think i can give it a nice turnaround mixing the flamethrower and an P-51A Aircraft :D

Another update on the plane, i allways end up spending all my time in details which wont even be seen on the shots. Anyways, here are some final model images. Still have to make the textures and shading.

Everything is coming out from maya atm, and will most likely finish this one entirely maya based.

Good job arkangel-fx. I'd say your camera is too close to the effect, pull it back a bit so we can see all the hard work you've put into the effects. Good stuff, lets see that plane clearer though.

I don't get how an airplane can strafe fire like machine gun bullets. I would think something like that wasn't physically possible. The plane might be able to drop it like a water bomber but given the resistance of air a stream of fuel would back wash over the airplane setting it on fire.

Have you ever spat into the wind?

Ya, i said the same thing when i first saw the kranen in clash of titans, also when i saw outer space explosions... that cant happen... well my friend, that's what CG is for :P
It has to look nice and be believable. Even thoug, thanks for the input, but im not aiming for a physically correct sim, just one that works for what i want to show.

Cheers!
