Good modelling.
It's a good thing to create your dreams, but in your place I would go out, and see if I can meet her again, or other girl.

Amazing Work!

One of the very few human models I've ever seen, here or on screen, where I truely see life in the eyes. Are you using any reference at all, or are you working purely by memory?

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

thank ya all for feedback!
i'm glad to see that you enjoy my stuff.:)

i'm totaly agree with u "Wszp" lol, don't worry about that:) I just try to find inspiration from things wich could be commun.stare at people in the Street or Subway,is a good way to find what you look for.that's why i talk about this girl in the bus...telling "i'm in love",is exagerate :).
Hi Zegritch!thx u
hum I'm flatterned that you compare my model with amazonsoul's one.I think that René Morel is one of the best CGartist that i've never seen.Anyway The resemblance is not deliberately,my challenge is to impose my own style.

I work essentially with memory,I try to look at a maximum of references, so that the brain remind these images later. The "school tips" to put a imagePlane in the front and the side of the viewport,is the worst teknik i know!
hi Xtrm3d..héhé coming from Berlin all the girls in Paris are top model,héhé i'm joking :)
Usualy, only Blonds Women blow my mind, humm did you met Claudia Schiffer in Berlin?

thx Orangefisk,i work in the CG industry since many years,Modeling is not my speciality.I can't really tell u,since how many time,i model.

héhé "baby" oui je sais elle lui ressemble pas, mais jlui fai la tete parck'elle veut pas de moi! lol (qu'elle jeu de mot)
fighter ..i wish finish her one day.
thank you all for feedback,my work is far to be perfect,i wait for ugly coments :)

Fantastic work once again Seb, here are my critz and comments:

the eyes are really great, fantastic expression in her face!
the eyebrows region is almost perfect
eyelids are awesome
the chin is very good

:thumbsdow

the area around the nostrils is a bit too boxy
the distance between the eyes is a bit too wide
the helmet could be more detailed and original, i know you can improve it!
the mouth is very well modeled but too plastic and regular, too symmetric
the area around the corners of the mouth could be more fleshy, it's a bit too flat imo

Keep up the good work and good luck my friend! :)

hi thirdeye,
Indeed her eyes are to far from each other, depending of the rules of anatomy. However, this is a caractertik of my style.if you take a look at all my other character, they have the same particularity.
I'm not sure to understand what u mean by "boxy"check on the pic below...
I'm totaly agree with you,the Helmet ought to be more detailed. At the begining, I imagine her with some long hair.but,I had some trouble to install my hair plug-in.So i decided to make the helmet more important. In an other hand,i wonder if it's a good idea to make the design complex, because she has to represent a kind purity.
Your comments are interesting,thx

Could you post a lowpoly wire close up of the eye? I ask because I have a certain roblem with a model I'm working on now, maybe this could help me out, thanks.
Now give her a nice full and round body! :)

i have to say a thing Seb: forget everything i said before. Tonite i went out after chatting with you and i saw 2 asian girls in the underground. I immediately looked at their eyes and they are very far (i already noticed your characters have far eyes, prolly only Eichan doesn't). Their mouth was IDENTICAL to the one you modeled and the region around the corners was very flat. You made a perfect work my friend. :) :) :)

I think that this looks great so far especially the details in the sides of the lips where they meet the cheeksbut... I think that the ear seem a little off. The loop that curls into toward the ear drum on the side that turns in seem to dip to far down before blending into the eardrum area. Hopefullly that makes some sense. Personally I think she looks attractive without hair. i like that this women manages to have some jaw muscle defention while still manging to look feminine

Try going to that URL: http://stuzzi.free.fr/cgtalk/gabriell/gabriell.jpg

I'm browsing with Mozilla Firebird and the picture didn't show because the slashes were actually anti-slashes. It loaded in IE tho, so I got to the source and found the mistypen URL. :)

Excellent work Stuzzi by the way, keep working on her, she's well worth it!

i'm rather surprised to find this plugged on the front page.

Don't get me wrong, it's a beautifully modelled head, but it doesn't seem like a finished piece.

Supperb :)

I do see one thing (being nitpicky). The ears could use some more work, specially the Helix (the outer tim). It could be wider and less or a regular shape all around. In reality it has a varying width and curves in. I'm not sure I'm making it clear but check this image out to see what i mean.

Ear Diagram (http://www.bio-buzz.com/ear_diagram_page)
you'll notice that the helix is much wider and has a curved profile. Also where it connects to the inside of the ear, (where the hole is) it goes back instead of down into the hole.

hope it helps. Great Work!

the body is not already made.I wonder if i should texture her face before...

Adam\Ariel--I'm glad to see that you notice those details :).it could be possible that the ears are not perfect.I left this part voluntarily because hair or a helmet had to hide this.Although it cause no probleme for this case,i shall be carefull in futur.thank u Adam.

Hi kwak\danne82\mattregnier...I don't know the rules,or if to be on the main page have a meaning.Maybe the pics on the main is supposed interested people, it doesn't much matter that is finished or not.Only the moderator take This decision.Anyway, my stuff is not there any more.:(

The pic is not on the front page anymore because it seems you had some problems with your server Seb, it seems the pic disappeared and people couldn't see it, i will care about it and see if i can put it on the front page again.

For everybody who said this shouldn't be on the front page because it's a wip... All the other works by Stuzzi have been shown in the wip forum but they've always been plugged by me, Leigh or other mods because of the high level of realism he's able to get. His style is unique in my humble opinion, and he's a true source of inspiration for head modelers, not to mention the fact he's working on AmazonSoul too. If a pic is good i don't really care if it's still a wip or not, my 1st head has been plugged by Leigh some months ago even if it was a wip, and i am glad it happened because of the good support and suggestions i gained. I prefer to plug a good wip pic more than a "hey the new xyz modeler is now out". Just my 2 euro cents.

Very nice work Stuzzi, you are a very good head modeller, your topology is very efficient (very close to amazon soul one) I have a question are you working with Charles and Sophie at Ubisoft montreuil? Keep the good worp up, it's a real pleasure for the eyes!

09-24-2003, 02:10 PM
Thank you Thirdeye, your sentences are very flattering
Indeed, the fact of being on the main page previously, allowed me to have a excellent feedback. It seems to be objectif of a forum, to have a good exchange. I thank the moderatos for having made it.

Useless to mention AmazonSoul, because I made a minor contribution. To me The merit returns to René Morel and Vincent Rouleau.Funny how people compar my stuff with amazonsoul's ones.I'm very honored by that!
My "art" is far from being also good as theirs. I have a lot of respect for them,René and Vincent are ones of the numerous artists that inspire me.

What you say Koroko\paconacarro,is really signifiant. It means that I have almost succed my challenge.
For wireFrames..check at my old wip Myriad. The mesh's structure is almost the same.

Great modeling. And it's not surprise for me. All your models are filled with life. Also there are meticulous attention to detail in your models.
How much time do you usually spend on a model like BlackBeauty?
Good luck.

yo peter,Lorex,Kelsolaar!
I'm very honored by your reply..

well,hum..i can't really told you how much time i spend on it.It's not as if i model a head alone.I try to create a kind of atmosphere trough the design and else.To me it's the most difficult to achieve. For Gabriell i spend almost a week 'cause i had a clarified idea of what I wanted to do.It's for my own pleasure so i'm not hurry to finish it :).it could be longer,2,3 weeks.

Kelsolaar: i've just send you a mail,i wait for you answer

stuzzi
09-26-2003, 07:10 PM
No I don't still finish to textur a model yet.I prefer doing some research before in order to have a interesting result. To me it's pity to have a expressiv model and an ugly maping on it.

it's true...,I try to improve the emotion of my characters trough many aspects. The among of these aspects build a psychology wich is unique. Its difference is unique...in contrary of my modeling.i think that The model is not so fantastic. The most difficult challenge,is to keep a neutral expression.

Real ART

Allows me to doubt about it :) I really appreciated your words!but to be objective,I may work untill a end of life to reach a Coherent Reality and "REAL ART" :)

Hey Stuzzi...

any tips on how you start your modeling process.
I know u get asked allt he time but hey I just love your stuff so.

stuzzi
10-12-2004, 11:04 AM
hey Julez4001
sorry to be long,
I start y modeling with one polygon, then extrude edges. If i already have a generik geometry,i reduce the number of poly to tweak vertices easily, then refine it and arrange volume shape with ScultpSurfaceTool or lattices.I have nothing special about that...

see my Opus Second (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?t=174877)

Julez4001
10-12-2004, 12:42 PM
You said you saw this beauty on the train or somewhere... you modelied this face completely from memory or did you use some reference of someone somewhat familar with your memory.

Julez4001
