So I got bored at work the other day and started doodling... I do this a lot, and have quite the pile of miscelaneous and random characters lying around...

This one stood out as one that I figured I felt like modelling, so I decided to model her(Aren't I a great storyteller?)...

So here's the sketch I did at work, coloured and whatnot...

And here's my current progress on the model, compiled into a chaotic hard to look at picture that I'm not going to bother changing until some time tomorrow, as it is now twelve hours after I said goodnight to everyone and claimed that I was headed off to bed:

(Oh, and the red eyes are because since I lost my hard drive a few months ago, it was the only one I could find lying around. =P)

Still got a LOT of work to do, but I think it's coming along fairly nicely. I've been modelling for a while now, but I'd say that this is probably the second model I've actually managed to sit down and work on long enough to consider actual work. Most of my other stuff is exceptionally primitive.

The hard part's going to be texturing, as I was never quite as good with the whole texturing thing in general... *shrug*

Anyhoo... enjoy!

EDIT: Ugh, the knees... THE KNEES! *falls over crying*

What software was used to make it?

Looks like sort of a "Kim Possible gone Tomb Raider" influence.

To me the eyes need more form, right now they look kinda plain and unintresting.
I like the way you did the boots and the hair.
Nice choice of dress also.

Yeah keep going man!

Ah yes, the head. The only part of the model that I didn't model for it. The head was done some time over a year ago and i just used it as a placeholder and haven't gotten around to replacing it yet. It'll probably be first on the list, methinks.

And it was modelled and rendered in 3DS Max 4.0 using 'Edit Mesh'(actually, can't think of a single part of the model that didn't start as a cube).

I think I'm going to just redo everything a piece at a time, now that I've got the base model done.

Maybe later today...

Redid the head tonight. Much better than before, methinks. The mouth needs a bit of work, as do the eyes and nose, but it's coming along nicely. Next I redo the hair. =P

Coming along well. I like the addition of the sunglasses and I think you've shaped the eyes nicely rather than that mad staring look she had before. She's now got some character in her face. The overall costume design is good too. As you've already pointed out that there's still some work to do with the eyes and mouth then I won't point out anything there until you're a bit more finished with them.

man, use edit poly... it's far better, especially if you do box modelling; for instance it has very useful edge editing tools (create edge, divide edge, cut) that edit mesh hasn't.
Interresting style. Try and put some voulume to those lips.
Keep it up!
