That's easily the best piece I've seen on the frontpage in along time! AWESOME!

I especially love the style and mood.

very nice painting

it does seem inconsistent that the father would have an earring though.

This Piece has the absolute WOW-Effect :)

WOW

The blinds (dont know if it's the word) in front of the window are beautiful. The Hair on the Head of the guy...
Very impressive Face too... there's a mysterious Mona Lisa Effect if you look closely. I'd say genious! :applause:

well... the picture is pretty much perfect imo.
Though the Lamp in the Left corner looks a liiiiiittle "displaced" (the top) At the same time colors and materials here are absolutely brilliant.

Amazing piece of art... nice Lady btw...
*wisper* "ExposÚ 2" *whisper*

really nice image ,

I would have preferred the girls right arm more towards the right side of the chair , right now she looks like she needs to squeeze to the right part of the frame.

but thats just a minor nitpick , it kicks ass overall.

I must say I am quite impressed by this work. There are many levels of detail; some bold and some subtle but all very well done.

Do you use a reference picture or photograph of some sort or is this entirely freehand?

Very narrative.

You can take one look at that guy and know exactly what he is about.

I like art that actually means something.

Great Work.

This is a great piece, the ambient feeling is well acomplished... :)

But i personally prefer other pieces of your work,

For instance the "i┤m home" piece, or the "spring wizardry"...

Anyway your a master at what you do, and I really admire your work... :)

I agree with all everyone's said...gorgeous work.

However...the woman's arm just seems WAY too long. It's hard to see the rest of her, but just going with the proportion of her shoulders, the right arm looks like if it were straightened out, it'd be hanging below her knees....

great work man!
really good.
though being the lazy slow english reader i am, i haven't read all the replies u got, so u might have actually been commented about this, but the sunlight coming through the shades (the sticks filtering the light over the window) don't seem to be casting a shadow on the figures...
& also - where can i see the full scaled image?

again, i might not have emphsized this enough - very good job.

Beautiful painting! The old man reminds me of Sean Connery. The lighting is fantastic and both of the subjects (the girl especially) have alot of character. What was the inspiration for this piece? Best regards,

Wonderful work.

However, the suit looks a little big for him. It doesn't fit perfectly like a suit belonging to a rich man would.

Other than that, great job. True talent.

that jpeg doesnt do your image justice, still worthy of frontpage by far.

 since I saw your online gallery.
You deserve your previous awards (that's the least one could say) and maybe ;) another one for this piece.
For me , to make it perfect , I would like to see the hidden arm of the girl at the top of the chair too.
(like if she was saying : "hey this man is MY man")
So having opposition between his obvious assurance , and her's , having a men like this under control...(or think to have)
All women like this , no ?
:D

Forgive me , this picture is already DAMN good.

BUT let me tell you too that I LIKE SO MUCH your other work ""Joker"".
:banghead: Fantastic !!!
(maybe just more contrasted colours on him would make him a perfect joker)

""Fast forgiveness"" is a funny concept inside a frightening image !
Is that you on ""Poetry"" ?
And ""Knight Shift"" is really dynamic.

So to sum it up :

Not only the picture is great, I also dig the subject manner, this is one of my fave eras in history, love the gangland style mafia :). Aside from that your lighting skills are incredible, every piece I've seen from you spews talent in that area. The earing does look a bit out of place because it might be too big. Love the lady's necklace and of course it's worn so well that you can't help but to be drawn to her boobs ;) well done.
