Well I finally took the ACT for the FIRST TIME and they are very scarey compared to the National Average which is:

English 18-English Composition

Math 22-Algebra

Reading 21-Social Sciences/Humanities

Science 24-Biology

Mine was 5 points below that in every area except English which was 2. I feel very embarrassed to even say this on a forum but I had these sent to a school before I took it so now I cant take it again and then send it but anyways Im hoping my Art Portfolio outweighs this poor site.I sent it to SCAD btw.Should I wait and try again and start admission for another school or do art schools look at this just like a state university would or different?

Well, i think SCAD looks more at your scores and grades than at your portfolio... i aplied to scad and my grades were not good enough.. i sended a good portfolio too, which didnt matter at all.. i was rejected, and they told me that the desicion was based on academic performance, i dont know how they'll look at the ACT scores.. maybe your school grades are good enough, but dont let your guard down, a nice portfolio is not enough for SCAD.

Hope it helps.
