Throwing my hat in the ring on this one. I'm going to tackle "Jongar Fights Back". I like the energy in the poses and think this piece lends itself well to a diorama.

Quick base mesh, didn't spend too much time on it, just blocking it in.

Great choice! Iīve started to work on that model some while ago for a challenge in another forum, too. I didnīt finish in time, though, I might come back to it later.
Looking forward to your version, the basemesh looks great already ;)

Been busy sculpting away and here's where I'm at so far. I've spent most of my energy on the lizard, and have roughed in the humans. Lot's of work left :p

Cool, good just so far. If you want to get the lizard closer to the image, you could shrink the eyes and extend the size of the rib cage. But, it looks fine now though.

Thanks for the input, GerR, I've been looking at the ribcage and sort of agree that it's not quite there, I'll definitely be extending it and possibly widening it once I get to posing it.

I've done another pass on the male figure and tried to get the body builder proportions similar to what's in the painting. I have a bit more work to do on the hands and feet still. After that I'll get him into his pose before going any further with him.

The male is looking good. The female I think needs a little bit more volume. Frazetta seemed to like these nice voluptuous women :P.

been chipping away at the humans, mainly the faces, haven't been putting as much time in as I'd hoped... gonna be a cram sessions to get this done. Anyway here's where I'm at with the guy's face.
