Ahhh ... I miss posting here ...

Damn those crazy deadlines ...

Anyway, here's a couple of quick character sketches exploring different costume ideas ...

Crits are welcome ... what do you think? Are they working?

The knight character (with no legs) is already being modelled ... I'll post the wireframe if anyone's interested ...

Cheers ...

Al.

And here's the knight ...

I think I posted his head model in the 2D/3D WIP section

Looking good!

But I think that the cloths of the girl are really hard to model and animate.... not so hard but still dificult, but certainly really cool concept, some details would finish her (jewels and stuff).

Thanks for the feedback ...

Good call on the accesories ... I've been doing some casual research in that department ... sort of looking at vendor stalls for interesting celtic jewellery, and that sort of thing ....

But mostly the design for the first sketch sprang from a desire to explore different types of clothing ...

Thanks for your comments guys ...

Very nice desgins Choi. Where exactly is it that you work?
Your style is similar to the kind of artwork I'd eventually like to do.
I basically would like to be able to draw simple characters like these so that I can create models. As it is now, it seems I can only sketch out more realistic shapes, and thats not what I want.

al_choi this is a very nice style you have going here, something similiar with what I had in mind for my series in development Beyond... I really dig the proprotions of both characters..

I'd be interested in seeing anything you have done on these, more sketches, 3D models e.t.c , I really dig this style, tho mine is more futuristic :)

nice

cheers
