View Full Version : Licence for freeworkers?

We are some people working on a project called Mistlands (http://zerofps.sourceforge.net/) and have begun to expand our project and will soon be looking for artists (no money involved). We are however, uncertain of what we can demand of artists regarding licences for models they make.

So I would be happy if some artists could give their opinion on it. The licence we, after some research, though up goes:

"All work done to Mistlands will belong to the main members of the Mistlands crew. The artist will however have freedom to use his work any way he wants. He can't however, sell the model or claim that the Mistlands project can't use his work, since he doesn't own it. If the game however, ever made money, the artist would ge compensated for his work.

This applies every member in the team, programmers, desigers, artists. The licence is the way it is because no member should be able to quit the project, taking all his work with him, and ruining a part of the project. "

I can add that we don't count on making any money on the project, rather, this is a project to have something to show off and thus perhaps getting a job.
