View Full Version : Cause particles to move across the surface of an object

Really big noob here with particle systems, however Ive managed to create a cloud tunnel that looks fantastic when the camera is flying wildly down the tunnel.

I would love to make it so the clouds move, or change shape and are animated noticibly as the camera flies by, however I can not figure out how to get those particles to animate across the surface. Is there a way to do it by material where I can rotate the material over time, and the particles will follow?

You can try the speed by surface. Making them move with a material is not gonna be easy, but you can place them by material, and then use the speed by surface to move them along a certain direction or with a spacewarp.
