Why legacy forums?

I spoke to people at CGTALK about this and the temporary delegation of this forum to another page was a tactical decision based on a web guy's analysis of some quantitative measure of forum activity. The senior guys I spoke to there were as surprised as me to find this had been done and quickly restored modo to front page status in the Software Specific forums, for which we are grateful. I have personally known several people here at CGTALK for many years (even reaching back to my days long ago working at Alias) and I have always found them to not only be professional but actually helpful to me. In this case, they realized that although modo may not be as "big" as some other softwares out there, it is one of the fastest growing and has a particularly strong community!

Even though Luxology has an excellent forum, I'm glad I'll be continuing to visit CGTalk regularly.
I like to keep tabs an a lot of other tools at CGTalk, and it would be silly not to include Modo amongst them, since it does have it's place among the CG community.
