Hey,
Iím trying to figure out how to integrate a floating dust look in the fog setting for a spot light. Whether it be an addition of particles, or some trick I dont know about please someone help me understand this concept since I'm fairly new to it. Thanks.

I think you should ask this in the Nuke forum

Its a Maya question. I just want to know how to make dusty looking rays that move. I got the fog working fine but I want to break the rays up more and animate like real rays. How would I do that in Maya?

As far as breaking up the fog I tried a texture in the color output but didnít do much.

These two tutorials solved it for me:

I have a solution its very precise but also very expensive for render (then try it when its really need)
I try to create dust particles with 3D fluid and then lit that with lights and get the result it also add some dust in shadow areas and make image more believable .

all of texturing and shading solutions don't work when you are in the fog and looks correct just when you see the situation from out side but in this way because you really create the atmosphere its look correct and also you can control it very well
