Hey Guys, :wavey:

My first stint in 3D.

Kindly look and be harsh..;)

Rendered in POVray.

Mech. hand modelled in Maya at a friend's place and exported to POVray via .obj file, using Posray.

Thanx!

So you want me to be harsh?

I think your texturing needs a lot of work, especially the big stone and the little house.

IMHO the water is too reflective, you need to tweak your PovRay Code a lot. Did you use the "metallic on" , "conserve_energy" and "fade_power" statements in your water texture? What about IOR ?

Maybe we can have a look at the material code?

The sky texture is not in the right perspective, try to use procedural textures with an infinite plane or use the makeclouds macro from Gilles Tran at www.oyonale.com.

Go ahead, I'm sure you can do that much better.

the first things you should change are:

the house is too red....give it some variation on the colour

and put some enviromental haze inthere....the horizon shouldnt be that crisp

and the overall composition is crap

bring the hand into shot more

change the aspect ration and lose alot of the dead screen space

Nice idea ...

Bur colors are too flashy and procedurals are :D

But I don't really know PovRay renderer so ....

The Theme of it all is really fasinating. And very scarry. Because of that i won't crit this. Needless to say it does need alot of work though.

Thanx for all the suggestions..

Ya.. I know, I need to work a lot.. and am trying hard now.. That was my first piece.

I will try to improve this and post again.

Invisible Dane : Right now, away from home, once reach there will post the code. Or better, I'll improve it and then post it.

Thanx again. That was what I was looking for when I posted here.
