Hey guys and gals!!

Well I’ve decided to give it my best shot and enter this challenge. My idea was to have a “closed off enchanted forest” Here is what I currently have (its about 3 hrs work) Please note that it is a heeeectic WIP. The lighting is totally off and so are some of the materials. I still want to put a sign hanging in between the two branches saying “Forest closed, currently being enchanted”, also I am going to make a sad elvish pixie sitting on that giant shroom….. I would appreciate any cc (on anything!!) you could offer because right now I’m thinking that it looks reeeeally bad :thumbsdow yet has a great deal of potential….Thanks!!

:p :p

Too dark...lighten it up some so we can see what it is.
lots of artists darken their renders a little too much these days.
BTW. my monitor is balanced right

That's a really humorus concept. "currently being enchanted" LOL that's great. It's like currently being fumigated hahaha.

What I'd do is put a ton of trees in behind the gate and have a bright glow with lightFog streaming out. And maybe add something like police tape across from the gate to the edges of the pic.

As far as what you have now, it looks like the modeling is ok. Like you said the textures need work. Don't scrap it it's a good start and a great idea.

Thanks for the replies guys...I came online this morning and looked at it again....its terrible!!!!!! hehehehehe I really like the idea but im going to scrap it all and start from scratch. By the way, zR0-1 your entry is looking absolutely brilliant....skello, yeah it is definitely waaaaaaay to dark, but that doesnt matter cause its going down the tube :wip: i'll be back in a few days with something (hopefully) better!

Later guys
