View Full Version : UV Mapping: Bodypaint2 v/s UVW Unwrap

Greetings everyone!

I am a maxuser and i'm having really hard time working with the built in UVW Unwrap modifier. I'm considering buying Bodypaint2 (Standalone) and map my objects exclusively with it (and paint them of course:). From what i read it is very powerful at mapping..

My questions are:
Can Bodypaint's mapping methods totally replace those that the Unwrap modifier is providing?
Is his max connection good enough?
Is Bodypaint2 really better at mapping than, say, Deep UV?
Is there anything better for mapping?

Excuse me if those sound like a dumb questions or already have been dicussed, but it's a dilema for me..

The max connection-plugin is included.

So try it.

I've been playing with Bodypain for only a few hours and i'm totally amazed! The automatic mapping (mapping wizard) is awesome - you really can start painting 30 secs after importing the object! Absolute FUN!!!

Now i need a tablet :rolleyes:
