(I NEVER double post in forums, so sorry to the moderator. I should have posted in this forum instead)

I'm an independent director/editor working on my next short film "Unidentified" it will be a sci-fi/thriller that brings a serious new vision to the alien/ufo genre.
I have a little past Maya experience but am looking for someone who is really good at character detail modeling and willing to improve on an initial model I've started, or start it over.

Here is a reference of exactly the character look I’m going for, only slightly more aged, wrinkled, worn down from the stresses of deep space travel.

Here is a previsual I made in poser/photoshop.

The lips will need to be animated for one small line of dialogue that the alien says: “I’m sorry.”
The shot will be 2 seconds, fast.

Here is an initial maya render in HDRI/final gather with poser’s graylien.

As you can see it isn't even close to what I'm going for. (the background will also be clinical white interior of a UFO) The skin texture will be almost a “moon gray”. going for full realism, so layered textures would be awesome too if you have experience with that.

THE PROJECT.

This short 3min film is for Ridley Scott associates film contest with Phillips tv, (link) (http://www.youtube.com/user/philipscinematv). We have until August 8th to finish the film. I’m used to doing everything myself, but I need help with this. If our submission wins you will get extra perks & a possible trip to new york. even being a semi-finalist would be quite awesome, you could say Ridley Scott saw your work.

If you’d like to collaborate on this project and have great experience with maya modeling, texturing, bump maps, animating etc, I’d love to work with you.
you will have a credit, dvd copy and materials.

If you are interested in knowing a little more, Below is a production still and two other previsuals. The plot is being kept under wraps, but if we do collaborate I’ll send you a detailed visual presentation. Thanks so much for your time!

Omarios, I saw your portfolio and your website..very nice work! you have a great eye for detail and anatomy too which is a huge plus for this, I like the tunnel you did and the character.

This'll be fun. I work in maya/aftereffects too, so we can fileshare. I'll email you a .pdf rundown about "unidentified" this week.
I'll do another previz in maya to better give you an idea of the shot, as the ones I put up aren't good examples, lighting wise.
cheers
