View Full Version : Mocap from MotionB to Maya?

Hi, guys.
I want to animate a humanoid character. And I have some mocap data for that.
But, I'm quite nooby in whole question about rigging and animation, though I know the basics.

So I want to do an advanced rig for the guy, but as far as I understand MotionBuilder doesn't understand Maya rigs (IK eg) and I have a dilemma: how do I keep the rig but also animate character with mocap?
I really have a lot of gaps in my knowledge how to operate with MB and mocap, but maybe you can clear that out, plz.

Why not just do the whole thing in MotionBuilder? It's rig is pretty solid and it's really well tailored to animating on top of mocap data.
