I thought it would be an awesome idea to create a clip from one of the Dark Tower books by stephen king. I was wondering if there were any big DT fans out here in CG world and if they think this might be a good idea. I was thinking the bar scene from Book 3 : Wizard and Glass.. It is amusing and has action as well. I'm not sure if it would be wise of me to post straight from the ebook but I'm sure some of you might know what I'm talking about. If someone thinks this is a good idea, even with another scene from the book, post here and let me know. Peace.

If you havent read any of the DT series you are really missing out. It's an awsome group of books so far.

Ive read the series and yea its really good. BUT GUESS WHAT. that lazy bastard steven king nevre bothered to finisht he story. He still has at LEAST 2 books to go to finish it. The last one he wrote was like 10 years ago. Hes completely stopped.

Yes the books are awesome. Great concepts for some CG scenes

actually, books 1 through 4 are done and book five is due out in 2006, the prologue to book 5 is on the web, released by king himself. He speaks of these books as his crowning acheivement, and ties almost all of his books / the stand / salems lot / insomnia / etc.. into the dark tower story.

Hi dex,

I'm a Stevn King fan but still have not managed the Dark Tower series, although it was always on my list of books to read :)

Just re-read his short story The Mist the other day and it brough back a lot of memories of reading it years ago, though it would make a nice wee movie too but it would be a massive project.

But enough of that, i'm just letting you know that if you are going ahead with your wee movie i would love to help out. I'll get to work on the books soon :)
