I am a photographer looking to collaborate on some special-effects-related imagery. I regularly shoot models in a variety of urban and beach surroundings, and would love to have a matte painter (which I hope is the correct job description) add their own flare to the photograph.
For example, here is a photo I shot off with an actor on a rockscape:

Now, imagine putting a sinking/burning ship in the background, indicating that our actor is stranded on an island. It's not exactly original, but you get the point of what I'm trying to propose. The idea is to make the images very cinematic. I'm not necessarily going to demand photo-realistic quality either -- let's work together and figure out a style. I can adapt my photography to this as well.
