In the old days, when folks still built plastic models in the real world, it took a bit of ingenuity to create something of your own. It took a little thinking outside the box. Thus came kit bashing. This technique can be adapted to work in the 3D world today and can be very effective on a tight deadline or budget.

Sweet video. Kit bashing is great when used in a constructive manner, in production though kit bashing is constantly used, thats why you build a single generic head and reuse it as a base for every standard head in a game(or anything).
