(http://assets.cgsociety.org/nvart/365638_1275095674/1024bound)The more things change the more they stay the same, especially to a child's minds eye. This is the Tri-3000Z, a child's tricycle that can be ridden by traditional pedaling, but with a flip of a switch can be powered by a very advanced mainspring motor coupled to a transmission (a wind up tricycle if you will) in the front wheel assembly. With just ten rotations of the pedals the rider can store up enough energy to ride up to 100 yards at a maximum speed of 10 m.p.h. Once wound the tricycle is controlled by the steering column, pushing the column forward and pulling back gives forward and reverse movement respectively, turning the column left or right on the Z-axis directs the tricycle in either mode.
