Actually.... as cool (or un-cool) as all the family is, I think the army ancestor in the painting on the wall is the funniest part. Your girlfriend's "oh my god, he's going to leave me" fake smile expression is priceless. Very well done because that is a very difficult subtle expression to capture and a few pixels too short, too heavy or in the wrong direction can make or break that expression and you hit it spot on.

QUESTION:

Are you going to show her family this?

It's nice to be reminded I'm not the only guy who's girlfriend's father is exactly like Robert DeNiro in "Meet the Parents"

Your layout of the elements and objects are unique and exceptional.
Like the way you have the person meeting the family out of visual view with just the hands visible in the image. Gives you the impression this person is the one viewing the painting from outside the image.
