Hi guys,

I usually work with Softimage XSI and sometimes I use my camera to spread ambient occlusion.
Is very simple, I just mix any lens shader with an ambient occlusion shader mixed by one mix2colors node in multiply mode. (find image attached)

I'm trying to do the same technique in 3D Max, but I can't, maybe because I can't find something similar to mix2colors softimage node to mix two shaders in multiply node.

Anybody have some tip for this?

Thanks in advance.

Xuan.

Not exactly the same thing, but you can achieve the same result (in mental ray) using a technique described at the end of this blogpost:

If you change the color values of the Ambient/Reflective Occlusion Shader, you can recreate the look of your attached image without much trouble (you've got to instance it from the the projector map slot in your Omni light to the material editor in order to do this)
