hi there,

i try to render in different passes it realy works great.
But if i activate Shadow pass and take a render the floor with the texture is included in the still render.

My question is : How can i render just the shadow with alpha to comp in in ps?

Thanks for comments

HI, Philmorris so i can try show..... Im used Production Shader, MR

you need Node (Lambert) connect Mip_matteshadow, in Material Shader (Node Lambert), next you connect Mip_Rayswitch in Background (Mip_matteshadow), next you connect Utilities from Maya, MultplyDivide in EYE (Mip_Rayswitch) and Next connect Mib_Color_Alpha (MR TAB DataConversion) in SHADOW (Mip_Rayswitch), and Be Happy! :)

You could also use the background shader applied to the object you want shadows on and turn off the primary visibility on the shadow casting object. On the background shader set all reflection properties to 0 and set the Occlusion Mask to 0 under the Mental Ray tab.
