Hi,

I'm trying to animate a car travelling around a roller-coaster loop section using curve constraint.

The problem is that the car is travelling along the curve at a constant rate...which looks really bad.

I want the car to slow down as it reaches the apex of the loop and then accelerate out of the loop.

Is there a way to control the speed at which an object travels along a curve?

Please help!

Cheers,
Simon

Animate the percentage along the curve rather than having one key at the start and one at the end?

Or am I not getting the question.

EDIT.. Silly absent minded me.. I was thinking I was in the Softimage section.

With the curve constraint plugin you can only specify a start and end frame for the curve animation... I am looking for an alternative to curve constraint really, one that allows me to envelope the speed of my animation.

I found this one but it doesn't work in LW9.6 :(

Cheers anyway.

Are you sure it doesn't work? I just tested it out on a null that has an animation path from 0-60. I edited the channel so the animation path goes from 0-25 frames.

Interesting...

...will take another look.

Cheers.

Looks like you're right! :)

Plugin wouldn't load before...strange.

Thanks.
