You made some excellent progress since your first post, well done. :buttrock:

Are you going to build some mastoids muscles into his neck?

You might want to work on the shape of his lips, particularily his lower lip.

You gotta fix the seam, one to do it, my way to do it is creating another edge, just with the cutting tool if your using max, right near the seam, I guess your using the symmetry modifier, and put the vertexes on that line you created in the same exact place of the others in the seam, hope you understood me if not just mail me kiko3d@hotmail.com

The seam is the line that you had in the middle of your model, but know i see you fixed it so donīt worry about it.

it's ok, i'll be your friend! :)

it's looking very good!! better than anything i could do. the only thing i can say is keep working on the textures, they still need a little something to bring the model to life.
apart from that very good modeling.

Keep it up

Will

With black curly hair, this looks very much like an annoying boy at my school...He has that mouth-grimace look.

anyway...the final thing looks good, except the ears are maybe too small?

peace out.

I really like the modelling and the skin texture, the eyes however could be better IMHO.
They seem a bit lifeless, they should be much more reflective (both specular and real reflections).
Also, I think the iris and surrounding areas are a little on the big side
Finally, you might want to work on the eyelashes some more, they seem a little too thick and straight.
maybe you could also add a specular light to the GI render you did so you can see (some) highlights and shadow, give it a little depth.
Other than that, it's really looking cool...will you be doing a body as well?

hi,

ok here are the latests steps

http://manoll.free.fr/peter/visager/44.jpg

steadi:

i will try to make better eyes, but as you certainly know its the hardest part of the work ...
i will add a bigger reflection texture in specular, but do you know how to add a good reflection into 3ds ?

for the render i use only skylight does anybody know how to make the render better ?( i am not so good in rendering..)

i will try to finish the head and after that if everybody tell me that it's good i will maybe make a body.

BTW what about the last head ? is the new one better ??
( say yes ....)

thanks

Agreed, eyes are bloody difficult (just started on my own character so I'm facing the same crap).
You're probably just using a single sphere for the eyes, you could try adding another sphere over the eye and assigning that material that has an opacity map of a bright spot (white spot on black background).
The add the reflection to that sphere and give it a very high specularity and glossines.
Then give the eye itself a more even specularity (the way you have it now I think)
This way you have almost a window, should give it a nice layered look and give some depth to the eye.
I'm sure there are some great tutorials on making a good eye on the internet.

For the render, what you could try is adding a spot light and then go to advanced effects (in the light's properties) and turn off "affect diffuse"
This way you get some nice specular highlights.
I hope this was helpful/made sense....
And by all means, make a body for him!
Peace, R.
