There's also some nice sound effects on Pond5.com. I'm sorry there are no free ways to get sound fx, except downloading a video on youtube and extracting the sound...

If all else fails, I don't think it would be out of the question to go to a local dealer and ask them to start one up. Worst thing they could say is "no" - but don't underestimate how much people get a kick out of helping with a movie - even an animated one.
