View Full Version : composite behind footage
Micah-H 05-22-2010, 11:47 PM Hi I wondering how to composite a 3d object behind a layer of live footage.
If anyone has some information or a tutorial link that would be sweet thanks.

What do you mean by composit behind?
Just create a mask that will cut away the part of the 3d object that will be behind the footage.

Example (http://www.oktobor.com/#/work/m1_orange/)
here is an example if you watch about half way through where the dad and the kid are at the desk, the text is composited behind there layer??!?! how could I go about accomplishing that?
I dont see a simple mask working

You have to animate the mask to match the footage over time.

This should help you a bit.
