I don't usually respond just to say wow, but WOW! What a fun character. I think the design is amazing and you can obviously get some great emotions and facial expressions out of this guy. This character is an animators dream!

Looks great! What program did you use? Looks like a character that would fit into a star wars pod race quite easily!

Thanks for sweet words about the Groof.
I'm using LightWave 7.5 and ofcourse Adobe Photoshop for textures.
You've been asking for wireframes, so here they are
01 (http://dreamtalks.nstemp.org/cgtalk/wire01.jpg) , 02 (http://dreamtalks.nstemp.org/cgtalk/wire02.jpg) , 03 (http://dreamtalks.nstemp.org/cgtalk/wire03.jpg)
... and as a small bonus few Groof's Facial Expressions.

Very nice! Good range of expression/emotion.
I don't think that the wheel makes it gross - I grew up watching this...

BTW my favourite character was Zoomer.

Gosh, is he neat! :D Really, he has some star potential! Fascinating to see how a character becomes a funny & nice guy with only a set of a few expressions.

Well he is a machine and pilot in one. As you could see in previews images. But what he actually is you will have chance see "soon".
