chiragkopaigam 05-19-2010, 02:06 PM Hi Guys
This is my First entry for the community.
I am not a lighting artist but by seeing work of others i got motivated and thought to participate into it.
This is my first light & shader test with Anti aliasing set to 2.
The more finer version will be uploaded tomorrow.
Hope to get some comments and critics from the community members.

heya,
good start. to me the most obvious thing coming to mind is that your image looks really flat atm. Take a color picker in your imaging software and start sampling your merry-go-round and you will see almost no change in tone. This is something to look out for. If I look at your shadows it looks to me like the sun is at its zenith, so we are talking about noon here. Photographers tend to avoid shooting at noon because of this effect - everything looks flat. Lower your sun and I am sure you get more interesting results.
Good luck.

Also, the foreground-to-Ferris Wheel area is lacking in the visual cues that suggest depth and distance...

Thanks for your valuable comments, but this light setup is just the start I am going to add depth, BG, more furnished textures, Depth of Field and so on.
