View Full Version : Environment Scenes for Animations

Hello,
does someone know where to get good environmental scenes for animations? What I have in my mind is a tunnel or garage scene with a "darker" atmosphere and a natural environment with a street.... do I have to create it myself (e.g. with Vue?) or are there any downloadable scenes somewhere?

yes, usually you have to create it yourself. :) so you also have to have some experience with modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, rendering... of course. or just use vue, if you want that kind of final result, but that's a whole another problem, especially in terms of characters integration with the vue environment.

I'd suggest you try to do something simple at first though, more stylized, don't go for photo-realism, that's the hardest. Here's a nice example of simple(ish) 3D that, I think, looks great :) (although nothing in 3D is really simple)
