what would be the best way to get around this.
is it paint fx or something simmilar?

Im not sure if this is the best way. But What I would do is create a few different leaves, then a curve. And a circle, extrude the circle along the curve. Attach perhaps 3 varietys to the curve and duplicate along it. Then tweak as required. Im sure somebody will give you a far better idea though. I have used paint effects for ivy before and looked pretty good.

just model it baisicly?
whell might try but it seems a bit tedious as i have a large amount to cover. but if nuthing else comes up,
i supouse im stuck with that.

ivy generator 1.3 - it works on all platforms.

allright great, thats good definatly. i noticed it doesnt import materials into maya. do i have to remake them myself or is this a bug? just intrested.

just relink them - there's only like 3 textures that it uses.
