great surfacing as always, but there always seems to be a strange element/ tangent in all of your pieces that is very distracting.

He IS crying. Kind of like the Indian in the 70's PSA about littering. The pollution of the oceans makes him sad.

The eyes and the lips are to shiny, it's even hard to tell the color of his eyes due to the reflection. Maybe the lips should be a little less reddisch.

Fish-man that he is, I think he would be kinda wet. But maybe not his eyes so much.

I always pictured Namor as more like Yul Brunner with hair, but that's really cool. Are you working on a pin-up book of Marvel characters or something?

man I love you.....excellent job. Texturing is damn right exceptional. Only crit is about the nose (it's a nose allright, I just don't like it though..!!! i think he would be better complimented by a less curled nose). And, MAN!!! DEFINITELY LOSE the lip gloss!! About the eyes? Well, i like them, you have that in all your renders, and I like it, it's like, i see it, and say hey, this is prolly visionmasters'!!

The thing that makes the eyes look wrong, is the reflections...If this was a real world scenario, the light would come from where you see the strong reflections in the eyes...My guess is that the model is lightened my "normal" means, and the eyes (and the lips) have reflections from a HDRI map or something similar..

This makes it look kinda odd, at least in this situation where the light seems to come form the right, the reflections should have been more to the right too...

Great image btw..

Amazing textures. Did you use a photo of someone or 'paste' together from a few or even (dare I say it) make it yourself ? Please tell us. Maybe a small tut ? Some tip ?
I love the small grey wisps of hair on his back/shoulder. Very nice, very subtle touch

:thumbsdow
The irises are too specular. The whjites seem fine tho. That's confusing. Either reduce the specularity, or reduce the glossiness to make them more metallic (Yul Brynner in WestWorld)
The lips too. He looks like he just rubbed a chapstick or vaseline on them.
One of the wrinkles in his forehead runs thru the hairline - making it look like a toupe

one more time, thank you all for your critics.
ill try to answer you :

for the eye you have right and i think mr winberg as found the problem with the hdri and light i made. but i dont try to have réalistics eyes ( i try it in older images but i was not happy with it, they looked dead :) .
so, i could say i make strange eyes to have strange character but it wasn't thrue.. i have strange character because they have strange eyes..and for the moment i love it. dont know why :)
but with your help ill try to make new eyes.

you have right for the lips. he as sucked to much electric-fish..so is wet and shine;)

i agree with you too xzevlin, ill put some water on his body..and yes for your last question....

Diazl i love you too :) but i dont understand what is wrong whis the noze ( perhaps bcause i have a big nose to ).can you explain me with another words ( bcause of my bad english).

thank you all, for your help, its a pleasure to found you.

That's just too cool. He reminds me of Cat from Red Dwarf.

If you did a whole comic in this style, you could give Alex Ross a run for his money.

Great stuff, great textures, as usual. Really like Harley too. Great facial expressions.

I think the eyes look odd because of the big rectangular highlight, if that's in the original HDRI pic, maybe tilt it up or around somehow so that doesn't cut right across the center.

Only other thing that seems universal is you always or usually light from front top and back right, and it's a darkened room. While this is really cool and moody, it might be a bit repetitive. Does give it that Ross feel, and I love contrasty images, but he mixes it up a lot lighting wise :)

Maybe this got asked way before and I missed it, but you add the hair in 2D after, right? That's the only other thing that seems 'not quite there'.

Anyway, really good, look forward to more..

thank you

you have right with the lights Hypercube.
ill try some news.

for the hair i use shaghair, and shag fur for the reste of the body, but i render them in another layer and change the color in photoshop.
its just a try for choosing faster the color, and the final characters will be animated, after that i will transformated them to mesh and render with FR for the anim.

here is the CAID

I simply think that a different type of nose would better fit this character. You may have a big nose (so do I), but this character would be more "handsome" with a less wide nose.

DO you post effects the red tone that your characters seem to have. It looks great as if Light is shing through the skina nd the blood inside is giving a glow.
