Hi, wanted feedback on a model I was working on.... - and if anyone has good ideas on the best or most recent way to UV map a head, I would love to know.

thats a very funny model, where did the idea come from, who is the character in the photo?

Mapping a head, well there are loads of tutorials out there, if it is low poly then have a look in the tutorials in the resources section over on www.polycount.com what method you should use depends on the polycount you have and the program you are using.

A quick way is tho cut the top and bottom off and planar map them on the up down Y axis, and use cylinder mapping on the rest, then tweek the nose and chin areas by hand. otherwise you can cut your model up in sections that are mostly flat and planer map each one and stich the sections back together.

I prefere the second as you get more controll and can have better results one but it is slower and no easy unless you have tools like mayas uv stitch to put the seams back together.

Great Work!!!
I assume you speak spanish, so I would say: CHANFLE!!!
I like him a lot. It would be great to have him kick butt on UT.

Very cool! I love to see work like this that is different. Definitely not your typical space marine.

This is looking great! Supposedly the bumblebee man from the simpsons is based on this guy.

Naw, not a spanish bone in my body, I was asked to do this model by a company in puerto rico...I had never heard of the character untill pointed to the website. Im from california...
About Unreal tournament.....what do I need to get a model into that game? I have the editor from UT2003 but is there a plugin I need for model output or something? Ive only been messing with Battlefield 1942. Thanks for the complements! I must finally be getting a step better....and I owe a lot of my inspiration and will to get better to this website - seems like the only place I go where I can talk with people that have similar intrests...people tell me to shut up about polys at the bar.:)

I got chap working in Unreal - Not totally finished with animations so I used the default human ones for now. I was wondering if anyone knew of any links to his voice so that I can make custom sounds for him. That and I want to make animations of what he did in the show....but I cant find anything besides little low res pics. ANy help would be great. Here is what I have - try it and let me know what you think.

I love the concept of that character and it looks so odd in UT. But I'm curious as to what work you've done with Battlefield 1942? I've done a bit myself for various mods; even contributed the search and destroy idea to Desert Combat.
