I just noticed a couple of thngs.. from recent experience (I just finished modeling my first female human http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=85362 ). The proportions on your model look pretty good, though I would make the hands slightly bigger, the should be big enogh to cover the face easily. Also if you look at images of women with their arms extended as you have done, you will notice that there's this muscle running from the elbow to about 3/4 the length of their forearm, this muscle runs the length of the "underside" of the forearm, and sags slightly. I would aslo work on the feet a little more as they still seem blockish, and not splayed enough. Could we see a side profile and some othos of the head?

PureFire : you're right about the hands i have already fixed them , it never caught my eye before :)
xenxen: i don't really want to make her that muscular, more like a model and they have really smooth arms.. but i'll take a closer look and maybe i will add that arm muscle. You're right about the legs , they do seem kinda blocky i'll have to work on them as well
I'll have some shots of her side and of the head up soon
thanks for your comments

I didn't read the other posts so if I repeat anything please disregard the comment.
First off, That's a reeeeally nice model. There is very little wrong with the figure that I can see. The head is virtually perfect, soft and feminine.
From the front view, about the only thing off, or that looks odd, is her shin(s). I have found that it is very easy to make a fat shin, but difficult to make a skinny one as it quite often end up looking boney and anorexic instead of sexy. From the the image you posted it appears that the curve of the legs is not quite spot on. About the only thing I would suggest is to get ahold of photos of legs and study them very closely. Really try to look for that distinct curve that makes a slender leg go from boney to sexy, it's very subtle.
From the side view I noticed a few more issue that could be addressed. Her rib cage looks quite thick and could be reduced to the thickness of her waist. Also, if she's standing straight without bending her knees then you might have her legs modeled wrong. The thigh should be slightly angled back, as opposed to straight like you have, and the shin should be moved back more in line with the heal. Those changes should give her a more natural balance.
Hope this helps
Keep up the great work!!!

The head seems too round and without form...
Again it might just be the views you are showing.
I think when you add hair the head is going to seem too large from the front view.
Keep going though...excellent work.

road to hell: i'll post some wires soon
wgreenlee1: Yeah the head is a bit large , i'm still tweaking it though , and i'm planning to add some hair to see how it would look on the model. Anybody know a good opacity map hair tutorial?

I just noticed that the shoulders and middle to upper half of the torso are jutting out too far. Maybe bring them in a little to get more of an elegant curve to her back. The lower legs still look too thin to be supporting her.

xenxen: I just changed the shoulders and brought them in a little , you were right the back looks a lot better now
I'm still working on the legs , they're the part of the model that needs the most fixing , i'm really not satisfied with them
Meanwhile i did work on the face a some more and fixed some smoothing problems i had and generaly made the face look better (i hope)

The face looks good, I'd probably bring the throat in just a little bit, she looks like she has a thick neck and it doesn't suit the proportions of the body. Maybe extend the neck just a little too. btw, what software are you using?

I know what you mean, That link to my WIP is my first model, and it took me weeks to get it right, but that's where some good reference and this forum comes in handy. I like to keep an Excell spreadsheet to track any new changes I gotta make, I usually catelogue any crits that I get from here and from my own observations. I find it helps a lot to stay organized like that.

hey mate! :D
i think you need to work on the dinamism and presentation of the model, you've come a long way in short time, that's def potential.
work on the roundness and continuity of the forms.
keep at it!
