Ok Ok I know Orc-like creatures have been done several times before, but this is my attempt at it. What can I say... I love Orcs!!This is my first post in focused critiques and this is my first attempt at finishing a character. I used various references of human anatomy but I did not create any hand drawings. At the moment I'm looking for critiques as far as improvements in topology or anything that can improve the model. I actually have a lot more done than what is in the images, I'm trying to see if changes down the road (based on your critiques) can be implemented without causing major disruptions in my character creation pipeline. But first the head.....

Software: Maya 5
Surface Type: Polygons, except teeth and gums which are nurbs.

are u going for fantasy-realism (LotR style) or cartoony?

I think it would be more fantasy-realism.... not cartoony... I'm not necessarily trying to make look it photorealistic, maybe more stylized. Yes toward the LOTR style would be fine for me.

Ok what about the head and the torso..... Again I'm looking for improvements in topology or the general form of the modeling. I may be going for a stylized type of creation but anything you can add that will help in the realism (photorealism) would be helpful as well.
