Ok, this is my third attempt to make a caricature, the first one endup as portrait (you can check it out in my gallery if you want) The second one
is on hold due to the fact that it got to the point when it looks more like a portrait than a caricature.

So this time i'll post as much as I can so you can give me some direction guys, I am kind of new in this 2d field, a year ago my drawing skills where not good at all, but I'm working on it, I really want to master this technique
of Funny Faces.

Sorry for the long post, here's what I have so far.
Cheers.

Starting to paint some basic colors now, I'm using Photoshop,
hard brush Settings: Diameter 38 / Opacity: 75% / Flow: 45%
Sometimes is hard for me to see what Features of the face one should
exaggerate, in fact there are some people faces that simple wont tell me
nothing at all, if any of you have any tips on this matter it'll be of great help.

Hey man, looks good. There's something not quite right about his eyes though. I'm not sure exactly what it is...maybe his pupils are too big?

@ Maytridy:
Yes indeed, there's something in that area that's bugging me too,
I'll work on it while painting it.

Man you're in Boston, I used to live there long time ago, you're in Cambridge I lived in Allston.

Thanks for your comment

Cheers!

It's looking like an under painting atm, which is what it is. You are going to have to bring out the structure of the skull with your painting. I am not a characturist but you will get a lot of help from traditional portret painting websites. Experiment on layers, you can always knock the opacity back, or try blends.

@ Kanga: thanks for dropping by, I'll try to follow your Advice.
I had the time to paint a little more so here it is.
I'm working the neck and ear area at the moment, after that I'll work my way up till the Forehead.
Cheers. ;)

A little more painting and reshaping some features, didn't have much time today, but tomorrow I'll have some free time.

Looking great! I think placing some highlights on the forehead, bridge of the nose and lips would help out a lot, even if they are very subtle. There's also a bright spot right near the tragus which is a little distracting.

That's a great start! I think you should exaggerate the nose and the ears. Good luck!

I agree with DoctorMonkeyFist, and try to blow up some of the proportions, just too see what happens. The mouth, nose and ear region allmost look normal :)

You could try making his mouth even more downward, so its hanging even more, if you get my point. Very nice rendering.

Agreed, I'm working on it at the moment. ;)

Another update, I was experimented as suggested and this is what I end up with. I'm gonna finish the mic first and then continue painting the main character.
