I'm a student at Full Sail University. Currently I have been working on these assets for my first demo reel and I was looking for some more critiques on how to improve them.

It would be good if you could post a link to your reel or images that aren't taken from said reel but more along the lines of a normal wip image. From what I can see it looks pretty good but there's something off in the sealion(?) image and the image of the girl.

The animals proportions look a bit off, not sure why exactly, it might be because the wrinkles don't quite look like fat wrinkles, more like zbrush wrinkles. Hard to describe but hopefully you understand what I mean. The heads look good but a bigger picture would help so we can see better. The stuff they are sitting on looks like a cross between an icefloe and a rock, maybe more like on or the other?

Can't put my finger on what exactly but the anatomy and pose of the girl feels a bit stiff and odd. It looks almost like her torso (from the boobs up) up to the top of her head forms a straight line at about the same angle as the arm, which is also very straight.

The bust looks good but please, add some sort of pupils. It looks kind of creepy with white eyes!

I unfortunately don't have my reel yet, I'm still working on my camera moves. I guess I should have mentioned that in my first post. I do plan on showing my assets in a movie format, and for the time being I can try posting some rough camera cuts. I do appreciate your response though, and I plan on going back to fix those issues. Hopefully soon I will have another post with up to date images and rough camera clips of my assets.

is that guy is from 'pride and prejudice and zombies'? ;)
I didn't like how sculptures chisel pupils into eyes, I prefer it blank, but you could keep everything similar shades of grey.

If all I had were these 3 models - I'd make a short but sweet showreel:
look into a nice lighting set up - along with rim light - render out turn arounds and you're done
An ambient occlusion pass would be good too - to darken up inside the seals mouth and for general awesomeness.
The rocks don't look as nice as anything else - I understand its just a prop - but it stands out for its low res blobbyness
And you could ref some jeans pics on ladies, I know they're tight - but I think there should be some nice wrinkles in there

This is the link to the my rough camera cut, I'm still working on my transitions. but
the cameras are for the most part what I am going with. There are still some stuff that I am trying to work out like the ocean shader, and whether the cuts are too long or too short.

This won`t be a good reel without some wireframes. You should show the topology of your models.
