Hey guys been lurking here for a while now. Not too often though cause I have quite limited time. Look's like an awesome place to learn!

Been going through the manuals and tutorials and learned some cool stuff but I still feel I need to get way wayyyy more comfortable with this program(especially want to learn how to create any shapes my mind produces).

And that leads me to my question: Is it possible to combine objects. For example I have two squares and let's say the other is halfway inside the other. Can I make this as one object(I don't want to group it). Like you can for example do in Freehand when you use the union function or in photoshop mergin layers? Does this make any sense?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm glad to be part of this forum and I'll try posting as often as I have time and if possible help any beginners that may have the same problems I've already conqured and of course give creative critic.

Thanks!

You can connect objects via the functions->connect menu.
If you use C4D R8 you have first to multiselect the objects
you want to connect. Another method are booleans.
The boolean A+B connects objects.
