View Full Version : mirroring skin weights, eek!!

Hi all,

Ive got a bit of a problem with mirroring smooth skin weights on a character im working on at the moment. the mesh is split down the middle and i want to mirror weights across from one side to the other. When I do this however, the weights do seem to transfer, but they are all assigned to the wrong bones! the skeleton and the mesh are completely symetrical, and located on the origin, so i dont understand why this problem occurs.
