Well I am waiting to hear if I passed my Sophomore Review or not and was just wondering..... For anyone who has received a degree in art (studio, graphic design, 3D, etc...), is it common or uncommon to fail this type of course. The comments I received when I had mine were mixed. In the beginning they were encouraging but toward the end one of the professors said I was behind in my skills. Has anyone here ever failed?...and if so, did you eventually become successful or were you forever DOOMED in the art world?

I think a lot of programs have some sort of requirements for a student to go from lower to upper level (whatever it might be called in your particular school). My degree was in architecture and there was apparently some sort of review but it wasn't anything official, I asked when in the college office inquiring about another course and they looked and said "oh yeah, you're upper level" and I said "oh, ok" and that was that.

I'm also not an architect now so take that for what it's worth :D
