Hi guys and gals, I'm just wondering if there is a MEL script that would allow me to save a scene with a consecutive sequence like in 3DS MAX. So once a scene is named i can select "save as" hit "+" button and it will save the scene as say TestRender1.mb
and add the last number in the filename every time i hit the add button.

Not sure, but why donīt you just turn on "Incremental Save" in your "Save" settings? This pretty much does what you want (I think).
