Every time I start painter it resets to its own default color pallete, and I don't want that. I want to start with my own.

I do it in a weird way--and it might not even be the "right" way, but it works.

I first design a set that I like, then I name it. Then, I go to the default Painter set and change the name slightly. Then, I rename my set with the default set's original name. Make sure you save in the same folder, and in the same file format.

Thanks, whatever works, right? my fault for not trekking outside the program.

In the Preferences Menu (Edit>Preferences>General) you can choose which libraries will load at startup (papers, brushes, etc...).

There you can choose the colour set that will load at startup without changing coloursets' files names.

Thanks, that did it. I did use lunatique's way as well.
