View Full Version : Import not working on After Effects

Hello all,

After using After Effects for quite some time, today I tried to import some footage for a new project, and it would not import. It just doesn't do anything. It will import using the "recent footage" option, but I cannot import any new footage or multiple file import.

I'm running After Effects 5.0 under Windows 2000 pro. I just did some Microsoft updates yesterday, so maybe that had something to do with it?

Any ideas?

I fixed it! I'm not sure why it was fixed by doing this, but it was.

You can also import footage by dragging and dropping the footage over the After Effects icon. After I did that, it opened the footage in After Effects. That action re-enabled the import feature from within After Effects for some reason.

Like I said, I don't know why this fixed it, but it did.

Hey, Same thing happends in AE 6. I tried everything to get it to work. So I tried what you did and now it works fine. Whats up with that?
