the guy at their booth at siggraph told me that fifa is the #1 selling game in the world for them, and they have always used soft on it.
After half life comes out, I'm curious to see what happens.

Just goes to prove how little the quality of the software has to do with the quality of the finished game.

So true... I mean I've been a player of the series since it first came out in the mid-nineties, but unless they were using Softimage back then, the improvement was minimal. Hasn't it looked just about the same for the last five or six years?!

I couldn't care less if they did the whole thing in MS Paint... it's the gameplay that counts, not the app they did it in!!

Honestly.........How many people that call Football "Soccer" play soccer (football) games, or even the actual game for that matter?
Even the title contradicts itself!!
FIFA = Fédération Internationale de Football Association
So, this makes it - Fédération Internationale de Football Association Soccer 2004!

How does the title contradict itself? The "FIFA" is merely included to show that the game is officially licensed and hence includes the real players and team names.
The added "Soccer" instead of "Football" is meant to prevent Americans from mixing it up with any "American Football" games and then going ballistic with frivolous lawsuits... anything wrong with that? :D

I don't know but how is it that football is played with hands in America? :surprised
:lightbulb Instead of calling American Football "Football", they should be calling it American Rugby!

This should answer your questions about why we call it soccer.

Yeah, I'm sure most of us Europeans now about the little story above, it's just that, well... we generally like to laugh at Americans when it comes to soccer, as quite frankly, you suck at it :p
But it's all in good fun!
